Careers

To help create great spaces, we see every job as a doorway to a career.

At GWL Realty Advisors, we believe real estate is driven by people, not transactions. It’s why we put a premium on helping to ensure our team members enjoy a long, rich and rewarding career at our company.

Rewards and Benefits

We offer competitive pay and an industry-leading benefits package with an emphasis on employee mental health and wellness. As one of Canada’s top real estate companies, and backed by the deep resources of Canada Life, we cover all aspects of the exciting real estate sector.

Growing Your Career

Having real estate experience helps, but more than anything, we look for people who have a talent for making things happen and who thrive in a fun, dynamic, open and diverse environment.

We value integrity, ambition, empathy and creativity and look for these traits when recruiting new team members.

Summer Student Program

Each year, we provide university and college students passionate about real estate the opportunity to develop and hone new skills through our Summer Student Program. We’re tremendously proud that our program has led to new full-time employment for several of the students.

The array of skills I’ve acquired during my time here is invaluable. From content creation to social media analytic tracking, I’ve grown holistically. The guidance of my managers refined my leadership skills, and the dynamic environment honed my ability to take ownership of major projects and help lead the team on social strategy.”

Filling Important Roles While Helping New Canadians Get a Start

Since 2015, GWLRA has been involved with the Calgary Catholic Immigration Society’s (CCIS) Power Engineering program. The program provides opportunities for new and existing immigrants to Canada to gain valuable Canadian experience in building operations.

To date, GWLRA has hosted over 40 students by providing them with hands-on training in our buildings. This has led to full-time employment for eight of the students and helps us fill important in-demand operational roles with very capable and eager candidates.

I was a designer in China and have been interested in building operations since 2017. When I arrived in Canada, I learned the basic skills of plumbing and building maintenance. I enrolled in the Calgary Catholic Immigration Society (CCIS) Building Maintenance Worker Training Program. This led to an internship with GWLRA where I learned practical ‘on-the-job’ experience working at their buildings. I am grateful to CCIS and GWLRA for establishing the Building Maintenance Worker program giving me the opportunity to start my career in building maintenance.”
